From the pier at Mamoudzou on the island of Grande Terre, you will go with your guide to take the local pedestrian ferry or “ la Barge “ for the fifteen minutes journey across the channel to the island of Petite Terre
On the first step in Petite-Terre, you will discover the museum of Mayotte.
Great place to learn about marine life and the culture and history of Dzaoudzi.
You will drive cross a local village along its Main Street to reach the mangrove swamps in fewer Badamiers, with some free time to admire the view of Grande Terre fronting you. Enjoy the idea of the lagoon and discover The Mangrove swamp with a unique path around the mangrove swamp to discover its mysterious forest and then continue by walking along the pavement along le Boulevard des Crabes with the view of the small Marina to reach
Then, Drive across the village of Labattoir en route to the entrance of the path leading to Dziani Lake. This beautiful volcanic lake is located in an old crater and is filled with emerald green water. The water in the crater is twice as salty as the Indian Ocean, and volcanic gasses bubble through it. Take a guided walk up to the summit ( 150 Meters climb ) by discovering a 30 minutes walk around a part of the path along the crater to take in spectacular panoramic views of the crater and Grande Terre.
Next, walk back down the path, re-board your coach and proceed to Badamiers, where the road rises gently to a path encircling the lake. Along the way, marvel at the picturesque beauty of Dzaoudzi, Grande Terre in the distance and the turquoise waters of the great north-eastern coral reef.
At the stop drink, you will enjoy the landscapes with the lagoon and Grande Terre, with a local animation with women with their “Mbiwis “ ( or other local Special animation ), and savouring a fresh local juice be served with some tropical fruits .
After the refreshment stop, drive to the Ferry and cross with the pedestrian ferry to arrive at Mamoudzou in Grande Terre.
