Upon pick up at 1 pm from the port by your guide, you’ll proceed to Souda bay. Stop at a famous military fortress a well-built structure overlooking the entrance to the bay. Take amazing photos of the Crete island
Heading to Apokoronas one of the first villages is “Gavalochori”. Following a route through nature and tradition. visit the folklore museum of Apokoronas. The 7 rooms of it, will reveal everything about history, handcrafts, and the everyday life of the people in the previous centuries.

Pass through Kalives village and then “Xirosterni” to visit the local family “Raki” distillery. Have the chance to learn, and if you are lucky, to see the whole Raki production and taste, of course, this delicious Cretan spirit.

Leaving Xirosterni, in a few minutes you will be at the village of Emprosneros. The experience of the Cretan cheese-making process follows. Visit a cheese factory and taste the local “Graviera” “Mizithra” or “Anthotiros” cheese varieties. After that an olive oil tasting with warm bread in the local bakery. Try the delicacies of the baker and his pure extra virgin olive oil.

Olive trees and grapevines compose the scenery of the village of Fres, which -according to the tradition-was named after the Freris, the Catholic monks who lived in this region during the Venetian period. Evangelistria is the most significant church of the village and it constitutes a great monument, inside of which visitors can see the icon of the Virgin Mary, a work of St Luke. At Fres, there is also an Art Gallery and the Museum of Fres, in the Manousaka mansion, where you will be able to see and find out the genealogical tree of 95 families that come from the village, dating from the 19th century until today.
Stroll the Chania old market, a place no one should miss when visiting Chania. It has everything, regarding food. Cretan products like cheese of all kinds from fresh to mature cheese, olives, olive oil, wine, raki, herbs, and quite a few little taverns with excellent food, favorite being Agapinis Tavern.

Proceed to dinner at a blue restaurant in Chania also known as Mple. Blue has an unbeatable water view and wonderful Greek food. The restaurant on the top of the sea you can enjoy and relax viewing the Cretan sea and feel the breeze. It has a variety of seafood from, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menus.
