Mozambique Dress and Clothing

Mozambican women wear Capulana, which is a thick cloth printed with beautiful art. Along with Capulana on top, the women wear wraps from the waist downwards and scarves on their hair. Mozambican men wear printed casual dresses of bright colors, making it enjoyable to explore your favorite Mozambican wear.

Music and Dancing

Mozambique’s traditional music instruments are mainly made of wood, animal skins, and fruits. A well-known local ceremony in northern Mozambique is the mapiko dance of the Makonde people. It is literally a can’t miss, especially if you consider yourself a party freak!

Bazaruto

Bazaruto is situated in the Mozambique Channel of the Indian Ocean, about 15miles offshore from the town of Inhassoro.  The majesty of the dunes running down Bazuruto length is simply awe-inspiring.

Benguerra

Banguerara is the largest island in the archipelago. Pristine coral reefs, warm water teeming with marine life, and towering dunes offer a rich diversity of watery wonders that confirms the heavenly appraisal of uncorrupted beauty. Believe it or not, no visit to Mozambique would be complete without Benguerra island.

Punta Oundo snorkel

There are dusky dolphins in Ponta do Ouro, which are delightful to watch as not only do they boast an attractive pattern in shades of white, grey, and black, but they are incredibly playful, often jumping out of the water in groups. The view will make you grab your snorkeling gear and dive straight into Ponta do Ouro’s magical world.

Tofo

Tofo is a coastal town in southeastern Mozambique. It is home to numerous scuba diving spots known for sighting big sea creatures; dolphins, whale sharks, whales, and manta rays.

Inhambane

Locates in the country’s south, the charming town of Inhambane is not only one of the oldest coastal settlements but also the gateway to some of Mozambique’s magnificent beaches. Your bucket list is not complete unless it has Inhambane in it!

 

How to get a visa to Mozambique

  • Fill out and sign the application form. Attach your passport (2 coloreds) or travel document valid for six months from entry into Mozambique. Also, attach documentation confirming the purpose and duration of your visit to Mozambique!
