Itinerary

Day 1Aqaba- Wadi Rum

We will pick you at the port at 8 Am, meet your guide and start your jeep tour in the Wadi Rum desert. You will take approximately 45 mins to drive from Aqaba.

Stop At: Lawrence’s Springs

This spring, on the edge of the open sands The spring was named in honor of Lawrence’s evocative description in the Seven Pillars of Wisdom:’In front of us a path, pale with use, zigzagged up the cliff-plinth…From between [the] trees, in hidden crannies of the rock, issued strange cries; the echoes turned into music, of the voices of the Arabs watering camels at the springs which there flowed out three hundred feet above ground’.Together with other springs in the area, this natural water spout that tumbles into a leafy ‘paradise just five feet square’ allowed Rum to become an important waterhole for caravans traveling between Syria and Arabia. Look out for a small shrine dedicated to Lat, an aqueduct used to channel the water from the spring and inscriptions on the rock face. Notice to the aroma of mint in the air: it grows wild among the ferns and trees of this shady place.

Stop At: Red Sand Dunes

The popular desert area is known for red-hued sand dunes & activities such as sand sledding and sandboard skating or camel rides.

Stop At: Lawrence House

There is little left of this building, erected on the Nabataean ruins of a water cistern. Nonetheless, legend has it that Lawrence stayed here during the Arab Revolt and that makes it a must on the regular 4WD circuits of the area. Near the building is a Nabataean inscription that mentions the area’s ancient name of Iram. The remote location and uninterrupted view of the red sand dunes are the main attractions. You will stop for lunch for one hour where you will be severed local cuisine prepared by the locals.

Stop At: Burdah Rocks Bridge

Wadi Rum desert is dotted with towering high cliffs and stunningly shaped mountain. One of the spectacular natural phenomenon’s are rock bridges. Roll down a giant sand dune and climb atop the landscape’s towering rock bridges. The Rock Bridges are geological formations that have always held an irresistible attraction to those who enjoy the beauty of the naturally sculptured stone. In Wadi Rum you can find five magnificent rock bridges located in and out of the protected area. Enjoy both the sunset and sunrise in this fabulous area by walking on these rock bridges.

Stop At: Burrah Canyon

This remote area is home to the super classic Merlin’s Wand. The canyon is located roughly 10km from Wadi Rum Village. Stop here for a photoshoot

Stop At: Little Bridge

Easy to climb, this bridge offers great views across a broad expanse of desert.

Stop At: Nabataean Temple

On a small hill in Rum village, about 400m (follow the telephone poles), are the limited ruins of a 2000-year-old temple, dedicated to the deity Lat. Inside the Rest House, an information board describes the temple and its excavation. The ruins are important because they are evidence of a permanent Nabataean settlement, built on the earlier foundations of a temple built by the Arab tribe.

Stop At: Al Shallaleh

A short walk up the hill behind the temple is Ain Shallaleh one of the mainsprings in Wadi Rum marked by a small Nabataean shrine and several inscriptions including dedications to deities, as well as several texts for the remembrance of individuals.

Stop At: Umm Fruth Rock Bridge

The Um Fruth rock bridge is one of the most photographed places within the protected area in Wadi Rum desert, the bridge is about 15 meters up from the desert floor. With directions and maybe some assistance from your tour guide, the steep climb is easy. The beautiful views over the yellow mountains of Um Fruth make up this big time. And if you decide not to climb the bridge it is still well worth to pay it a visit.

A mushroom rock also called rock pedestal, or a pedestal rock is a naturally occurring rock whose shape, as its name implies, resembles a mushroom. The rocks are deformed in a number of different ways: by erosion and weathering, glacial action, or from a sudden disturbance

Stop At: Memories Aicha Luxury Camp

After the Wadi Rum Jeep Tour, we will drive you to the place where you will stay overnight. We will serve a traditional dinner made with local ingredients. Our dinner is served as a buffet and many of the dishes are vegetarian. After dinner, you can enjoy a relaxing evening before going to sleep at a private tent

Day 2Memories Aicha Luxury Camp - Bedouin Dam

We serve breakfast in the morning around 8:30 AM. After breakfast, you will drive do Bedouin dam which is built at built dams in hollow parts in the lower parts of mountains around the desert to have water for animals and to live. Water is collected during the winter and spring.

Stop At: Anfaishiyya Inscriptions

At Jabal Anfishiyyeh there is a big rock wall. You can admire some of the best Thamudic and Nabatean petroglyphs and inscriptions

Stop At: Abu Khashaba Canyon

Abu Khashaba canyon is one of the impressive canyons of Wadi Rum. The contrast between the red and yellow sun with green bushes and trees is fascinating.

Stop At: Cow Rock

In Wadi Rum desert you can observe few of unusual rock formations, like Cow rock

Stop At: Jabal Al-Hash

Near to the Jordanian-Saudi Arabia border, this mountain is one of most beautiful mountains of Wadi Rum. It is very easy to climb for anyone who is inexperienced or who wants to do an easy hike.

Stop At: Jabal Al-Mazmar

Jabal Al-Mazmar or The Seven Pillars of Wisdom is a mountain located opposite the visitor center. This mountain was renamed in honor of the famous book of T.E. Lawrence back in the 1980’s. If you are attentive you can see in fact there are six pillars.

Stop At: Jabal Al Quattar

With its top of 1606 meters high, Jabal Al-Qatar is one of the biggest and most impressive mountains in Wadi Rum.

Stop At: Wadi Village

n this arid valley, dug in a superb fashion by the water and the wind over the millennia, there are fabulous and unspoiled landscapes made of high sand dunes, rocky mountains with incredible shapes, narrow canyons with a thousand shades of color, water sources explore the village before grabbing lunch. We will drop you at the port at around 3 PM.
