We will pick you up from the Hosea Kutako International Airport. The airport Is 45 km outside Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. It has been a long journey, you will be dropped off at Discovery Guest House. After you have rested, a free township tour will be arranged for the afternoon.
Pick up from your hotel or lodge between 7 am-8 am to allow us to depart at 8.30 am. Headed to the north, we will have our lovely lunch break in Otjiwarongo or Outjo. We will drive through the National park in search of wildlife: elephants, rhinos, zebras, and various games (oryx, kudu, wildebeest, impala, springbok, gemsbok), giraffes, hyenas, and big cats of Africa: lion, leopard, and cheetah inhabiting the enormous grasslands. We will be at our respective accommodation just before sunset. Dinner will sum up the adventure, and rest will be required so that we can work up early and fresh for the next experience.

An early rise will be encouraged to have the feel of nature and the fresh breeze. Soon after breakfast we will then start our game drive to allow us to have a magnificent exploration, we will visit the waterholes. We will get to visit the Etosha pan (salt pan) before game driving across the park in expedition of coming across the Big 4 and other animal species. A light lunch will allow us to rest, gathering energy for our next adventure. After a short relaxation we will then visit our last waterhole that will be the last appreciation of Namibia’s beauty. Before sunset we will be back to our accommodation place so that we can have dinner as we share stories of our experiences of the day and also share and compare beautiful photos.

You will be collected from your lodge between 07:00 and 08:00. We have a long drive today, 540km ahead of you. We will drive via Outjo and turn off right before Otjiwarango towards Omaruru. We will have a picnic lunch in Omaruru; the town has 14,000 inhabitants and owns 352 square kilometres of land. We will continue via Karibib and Usakos and then across the Namibia Desert to Swakopmund. We will arrive in Swakopmund in mid-afternoon, where you will have time to explore this quaint seaside town on foot, and your guide will be happy to recommend a good restaurant for your evening meal (own expense).

In the morning, we will go on an excursion to the seal colony at Cape Cross, north of Swakopmund, where we will be able to experience thousands of fur seals at close range. The rest of the day will be free, with plenty of time to explore the town. Swakopmund is a charming seaside town with lots of shops, a good stretch of beach (although the Atlantic is quite cold here), and an open-air curio market. There is also an excellent museum, and the Namibian National Marine Aquarium is located in Swakopmund. Alternatively, various optional activities can be arranged. These include a boat tour (with oysters and champagne), fishing trips (either from the beach or in a boat), quad-bike trips into the desert and over the dunes around Swakopmund, sandboarding, skydiving, and many other activities. Your guide will discuss all the possible optional activities with you and offer to make pre-bookings in advance.

Namibia is a country of contrasts. Today we will move from the sea to the desert. We will cross the Tropic of Capricorn and traverse the Gaub on our way. The Kuiseb passes, driving down to the dry river bed at the bottom of the Kuiseb Canyon before climbing up the other side and watching the spectacular desert landscape unfold before us. Having arrived in the desert, we will stop at Solitaire for our lunch. We will arrive at the lodge or campsite around 3-4 pm. This time is boiling; we recommend that you spend the day cooling off by the pool. Early rest is required as tomorrow you are expected to wake early in the morning.

This morning you will wake up early to experience the sunrise over the dunes. After driving to the center of the dune field, you will reach the Sossusvlei on foot. It’s about 5km walk through the dunes in the freshness of the morning. You will see the sun play on top of the dunes changing the contrasts of the entire desert. As you walk carefully look around, there is a possibility to spot an ostrich out here in the wilderness! During your stay in Sossusvlei, you will have the chance to climb Dune 45 – the most photographed dune in the world.

Soon after breakfast, we will depart back to Windhoek. We will stop over at Solitaire for provisions. On our way back, we drive through the beautiful Spreetshoogte Pass. We will approximately arrive at our destination before lunch. We will drop you off at the hotel/lodge of your choice.
