Your day begins with a scenic two-hour drive south from Luanda to Quiçama (Kissama) National Park, located about 70 kilometers from the capital. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a guided safari through the park, where you’ll have the chance to observe a variety of native wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests (gnus), giraffes, and more, all set against the backdrop of Angola’s stunning natural landscapes.
After the safari, the journey continues with a peaceful boat tour along the Kwanza River, one of Angola’s most iconic waterways. The cruise leads to Chilala Restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Angolan meal—Mufete, a flavorful dish made with grilled fish and accompanied by local sides.
On the return trip to Luanda, you’ll stop at Miradouro da Lua (Moon Viewpoint), a dramatic, lunar-like landscape created by years of erosion. It’s the perfect spot to pause, take in the view, and capture some memorable photos. The day concludes with a visit to the Benfica Traditional Craft Market, where you can browse handmade local crafts, and the Museum of Slavery, offering a poignant look into Angola’s historical past.
