3 Hours Before Flight Time
Deep in southwestern Uganda lies one of Africa’s most biologically diverse rainforests—Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is world-renowned for its population of endangered Mountain Gorillas. This safari offers an intimate wildlife experience, combining thrilling gorilla trekking with scenic landscapes, rich culture, and tranquil forest lodges.
Arrive via Entebbe or Kampala, where you are welcomed by your guide. Begin your journey to Bwindi either by a scenic road transfer through rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages, or by a short domestic flight to nearby airstrips such as Kihihi Airstrip or Kisoro Airstrip.
Upon arrival, check into your forest lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Overnight: Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge or similar
Meal: Dinner
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by rangers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Set off into the dense rainforest for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once found, spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat—watching them feed, play, and interact.
Return to the lodge for relaxation or an optional community visit to meet the local Batwa People, learning about their traditional forest lifestyle.

Enjoy a guided forest walk or birdwatching experience in one of Africa’s richest ecosystems, home to over 350 bird species and countless butterflies.
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Entebbe or continue to your next destination such as Queen Elizabeth National Park for further wildlife exploration.
