Day 1 Welcome to N’Djamena

Get ready for an adventure as you arrive in N’Djamena! After a quick police registration for your travel permit, we’ll transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy some free time to relax and explore.

Day 2Discover Dourbali and the Alidjam Tribe

Today, we’re off to the stunning region of Dourbali. Along the way, we’ll make stops to soak in the breathtaking scenery and visit charming villages of the local nomad Arabs. Tonight, we’ll camp near a nomad camp of the Alidjam tribe.

Day 03 Encounter the Kanoumoudji Herders

Prepare to meet the fascinating nomadic herders of southern Chad, renowned for their captivating facial paintings. We’ll journey to the region where the Kanoumoudji herders keep their cattle, and spend the night camping in this enchanting area.

Day 4-5. Immerse in the Guerewol Festival

For the next two days, we’ll have the incredible opportunity to witness the Guerewol festival – one of the most significant annual events for the Wodaabe people. Known as “the vainest tribe in the world,” the Wodaabe are a prominent nomadic tribe of the Sahel region. Beauty and charm take center stage in Wodaabe culture, and the Guerewol festival highlights these traits.This festival, held at the end of the rainy season, is also a crucial courtship event. The men of the tribe adorn themselves with makeup and dance for hours to captivate the female observers. With a focus on traits like white teeth, expressive eyes, and height, the dance moves are truly mesmerizing. Prepare to be amazed by the captivating visuals that will stay with you forever.

Day 6 Return to N’Djamena

Today, we’ll bid farewell to the festival and head back to N’Djamena. Enjoy some free time in the city.

Day 7 Douguia - Elephant Rock Tour - N’Djamena

Embark on a thrilling adventure as we visit the famous Elephant Rock formation (Hadjer Lamis), just a short distance from the capital. Our journey continues along the picturesque banks of the Chari River, where we’ll stop for a delightful picnic lunch with a breathtaking view. In the village of Dougui, immerse yourself in the vibrant everyday life of the locals. Finally, we’ll return to N’Djamena for a well-deserved rest.

Day 8 Explore N’Djamena’s Treasures

Today is all about discovering the hidden gems of Chad’s capital and largest city. We’ll visit The Grand Mosque and the N’Djamena Cathedral, offering a glimpse into the city’s rich religious heritage. Next, we’ll explore the Central Market and the Artisanal center for unique souvenirs. To deepen our understanding of the region, we’ll also visit the National Museum, where we’ll delve into the fascinating ethnography, palaeontology, and natural history.
