Itinerary

Day 1Addis Ababa – Fly to Arba Minch

Arrive in Addis Ababa and take a domestic flight to Arba Minch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on Lake Chamo, famous for crocodiles, hippos, and birdlife.

Meal: Dinner

Accommodation:Paradise Lodge or similar 

 

Day 2Arba Minch – Jinka (Dorze & Ari Tribes)

Drive through scenic landscapes visiting the Dorze people, known for their unique bamboo houses and weaving traditions. Continue to Jinka, home to the Ari tribe.

Meal: Breakfast and Dinner

Accommodation:Nasa Pension or Similar 

Day 3Jinka – Mursi Tribe – Turmi

Visit Mago National Park to meet the iconic Mursi tribe, known for lip plates and body art. Continue to Turmi, home of the Hamar people.

Meal: Breakfast and Dinner

Accommodation:Paradise Lodge Turmi or similar 

Day 4Turmi – Tribal Encounters (Hamar & Karo)

Spend the day exploring villages of the Hamar and Karo tribes. Witness traditional dances, body painting, and (if lucky) a bull-jumping ceremony. Visit the scenic banks of the Omo River.

Meal: Breakfast and Dinner

Accommodation:Paradise Lodge Turmi or similar 

 

Day 5Turmi – Arba Minch / Addis Ababa – Departure

Drive back to Arba Minch or connect via flight from Jinka to Addis Ababa for your departure.
