Arrive in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s bustling capital, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide. After a smooth transfer to your hotel, you can relax and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.
O/N – Jupiter International or another similar 4* hotel.
Fly from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar and visit the stunning Blue Nile Falls before enjoying a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat trip across Lake Tana, Ethiopia’s largest water body, to explore the island monasteries of Ura Kidane Mihret and Azwa Mariam, both dating back to the 14th century AD.

Drive from Bahir Dar to Gondar, the 17th-century capital of Ethiopia. In the afternoon, explore the Imperial Castle Compound (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the famous ‘Bath of Emperor Fasiladas’, the Church of Quskuam Mariam (17th century AD), the residence of Empress Mintwab, and the Church of Debre Birhan Sillassie, renowned for its intricate wall and ceiling paintings.

In the morning, fly to Lalibela, home to the iconic 12th-century rock-hewn churches of King Lalibela. In the afternoon, visit the first group of these remarkable churches, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the morning, take a muleback ride to the hilltop semi-monolithic church of Asheton Mariam (13th century AD). The climb offers breathtaking and unforgettable views of the surrounding area. In the afternoon, visit the second and third groups of the stunning rock-hewn churches of Lalibela.

Fly back to Addis Ababa and embark on a half-day city tour, which includes visits to the National Archaeological Museum of Addis Ababa, Merkato (the largest open-air market in Africa), and a drive up to Mt. Entoto (3,200 meters) for a panoramic view of the capital. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at one of Addis’ best traditional restaurants, where you can experience Ethiopian folkloric dances and savor a variety of authentic Ethiopian dishes.
