Itinerary

Day 1Arrival

Upon arrival in Durban, you will meet with our representative who will welcome you on our tour and drive you to Umhlanga , where you will check in your hotel and spend the rest of the hours relaxing.

Day 2Tala and Phezulu Cultural Tour

Today you will leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city and journey into the rolling gentle countryide of the Kwazulu natal midlands to one of the best keep secrets, Tala game reserve. Tala is privately owned Eco Estate, teaming with birdlife, magnifient plain game and a family of hippos which are extemely rate in this area. After a game drive, you will make your way to the valley of the thousands hills with a lunch stop at one of our local restaraunts. In the valley you will meet with meet with the Zulu people. Here you will be narrated on their history and ways of living. As you interact with them, if you have some cash you can purchase traditonal and modern souvenirs. Be dropped back to your hotel for overnight.

Day 3Hluhluwe Safari

Wake up early for a big 5 safari north into the heart of Zululand to visit the oldest Game reserve in South Africa, the Hluhluwe & Imfolozi National Park. The famous white rhino breeding project was initiated in this reserve. You will go on exploring the wild found in the park, it hosts Big 5 as well as many exciting wildlife species. The park is also renowned for its exceptional birding. A break will be taken for lunch at one of the picnic spots in the Reserve. When the heat subsides, you wil return to a game drive to have a full footage of Africa wildlife at its best!

Day 4Durban City Tour and Cultural Tour

After your breakfast, you will go to see the top attractions of Durban city on a sightseeing tour that takes in a variety of landmarks highlighting the city’s history and its culture. Take a walk through the city center and visit the Botanical Garden and the Kwa-Muhle Apartheid Museum (if open.) Our first stop will be at the Museum to learn about the history of Durban. Proceed your journey with a drive along the well-known Golden mile view the magnificent historical building in the city centre, wander through the lush Botanical Gardens, savour amazing panoramic views and interact with local traders at the famous Victoria Street Indian Market and have a taste of the traditonal unique bunny chow. After your lunch stop, continue short distance inland from the city to meet with the local settlements of Kwamashu and Indanda which is steeped in history and culture. We tour around one of Kwamashu sections and stop at Shebeen (bar). Then to Ohlanga Institute, where president Nelson Mandela casts his vote in South Africa’s democratic elections in 1994 the Phoenix settlement where Mahatma Gandhi developed his philosophy of passive resistance and the Inanda Seminary, one of the oldest African private schools for girls established in 1869. We journey inland through villages and the gently rolling countryside till we get to the Valley of a Thousand Hills. At Phezulu you will be immersed in the fascinatng culture and traditons of a proud Zulu Nation and have an opportunity to interact with the villagers and purchase traditional and modern souvenirs. A visit to the on-site crocodile park is also included.

Day 5Transfer to Capetown

After breakfast, enjoy your morning shopping around the largest mall in Kwa-Zulu Natal- gateway shopping mall. Then drive to the airport for a flight to capetown. Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel via a city tour of Cape town.

Day 06Robben Island and Table Mountain

Embark on a combined Robben Island and table Mountain tour. Board a ferry to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18- years. A bus tour of the Island, delivered with intimate detail by a former political prisoner, includes a viewing of Mandela’s jail cell. Thereafter we travel to Table Mountain for a trip to the top via cable car. The breath-taking panoramic views from the top are 2nd to none.

Day 07 & Day 08Cape Peninsular

Today you will experience the 114 curves and 9 km drive of one of the world’s most scenic and majestic drives- chapman’s peak. Hop off at one of the many picnic spots where you can enjoy and take photographs of the breath taking views of the rugged cliffs, the beaches, the ocean whales and dolphins! See the spectacular sight of Cape Ponit’s towering rock cliffs and the lighthouse, over 250 species of birdlife, baboons, bucks and the Cape Mountain Zebra. he old lighthouse was launched in 1860 only to be decommissioned 40 years and dozens of shipwrecks too late after studies proved that its high altitude posed a great danger to sailors around the cape as they couldn’t be able to see it in cloudy weather conditions. A new lighthouse was since built at a much lower altitude. Explore the cape of good hope, Famed the corner of Africa. Where the Cold Atlantic and the Indian oceans shares common grounds. The Cape of good hope is however only the most south westerly point of Africa. Hiking trails to the summit of the Cape makes for great activity and sightseeing. The Cape of good hope sign is also another big attraction. Possible different hiking trails will be offered to you from here by your guide.

Lastly visit Simon’s Town & Penguin Colony Simon’s Town is the seat of the SA Navy and has a charming coastal town atmosphere and a vibrant history. Here you can find a thriving harbor, a toy museum, navy museum, and plenty of other sights – nearby is also Boulders Beach where you can admire the penguins for an extra fee.

Day 09Winelands Tour

Explore vast estate as you travel along the cape winelands’ principal route through paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschoe. You will be visiting up to 3 wine estates each with its own different style, from wineries that produce millions of litres per year to have you create, bottle and label your own wine. . The wine tour is a day filled with fine wine, great food and spectacular scenery.
