Day 1Airport – Dakar (1hour Drive)

On arrival, meet with our esteemed guide who will help you finish all the formalities and transfer you to the place of accommodation. Check-in to the hotel and have an orientation about the safari with your guide.

Day 2Dakar - Diogo (Oasis of the Desert).

After breakfast, you will embark on drive to the Oasis of the Desert. On the way, make a stop at Pink Lake (also known as Lac Rose), a unique saltwater lake that gets its pink color from the high salt content and the presence of certain algae. You can take a walk around the lake and even float on its buoyant waters. Upon arrival in Diogo, you can explore the mesmerizing desert landscape with its towering sand dunes, embark on camel rides or try sand boarding for an adrenaline rush. Spend a night in a desert camp to experience the nomadic lifestyle, complete with traditional tents, local cuisine, and music around a campfire. Visit a nearby village to interact with the friendly locals, learn about their customs, and witness their traditional way of life. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness breathtaking sunsets and sunrises over the dunes, and indulge in stargazing in the clear night sky. Day 3 Oasis of the Desert – St Louis Excursions

Today you will transfer to St. Louis, a historic city known for its colonial architecture and cultural
heritage. Explore the city, visit attractions like the Saint Louis Island, Faidherbe Bridge, You can visit museums, art galleries, and historic sites, which is a poignant reminder of the transatlantic slave trade. Enjoy the local cuisine by trying traditional Senegalese dishes like Thieboudienne (a popular fish and rice dish) or Yassa (a chicken or fish dish marinated in a tangy sauce).

Day 4Saint Louis – Djoudj National Bird sanctuary

After breakfast, departure to Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to a wide variety of bird species. The park located about seventy kilometers of Saint Louis, and homes palearctic migratory birds. Third ornithological pack in the world, it’s a wetland of around 16,000 ha comprising a large lake surrounded by streams, ponds and backwaters. This habitat hosts more than 1.5 million birds of 365 species including over 120 species of palearctic migrants. The property is a vital sanctuary for nesting species such as the white pelican, the purple heron, the African spoonbill, the great egret, the night heron and the cormorant. After visit, return to St Louis.

Day 5Saint Louis- Saloum

Today you will leave St. Louis behind and head to Sine Saloum, making a stop in Touba, a holy city for the Mouride Brotherhood. Explore the grand mosque and learn about the religious significance of the city. Upon arrival you will head to the hotel for the ovenight and dinner.

Day 6Saloum Delta region

Today you will explore Saloum Delta region, there is a wide range of activities and attractions to enjoy. Explore the enchanting mangroves on a boat tour, immersing yourself in the unique ecosystem and spotting diverse bird species. Discover the local culture by visiting charming villages, where you can witness traditional crafts and learn about customs and traditions. Take a scenic river cruise along the Saloum River, admiring the beautiful landscapes and observing wildlife. Explore the islands, with its pristine beaches and vibrant fishing community. Indulge in the delicious Senegalese cuisine, go birdwatching, and experience breathtaking sunsets on boat trips. Day 7Saloum Delta region- Fathala Animal Reserve – Janjanbureh (Wassau Stones)

After breakfast, transfer to the renowned Fathala Wildlife Reserve for a once-in-a-lifetime African safari experience. With an expert guide, immerse yourself in the beauty of the African bush and witness rare West African wildlife in their natural habitat. The reserve is home to the elusive West African Giant Derby Eland—found only in this region—as well as majestic antelope species such as roan, waterbuck, and bushbuck. You’ll also encounter giraffes, rhinos, buffalo, and warthogs, along with fascinating primates like red colobus, green vervet, and red patas monkeys. Bird enthusiasts will be captivated by the vibrant bird species nestled among towering African trees. Following our way to Janjanbureh, a town, founded in 1823, on Janjanbureh Island, also known as MacCarthy Island, in the Gambia River in eastern Gambia. Until 1995, it was known as Georgetown and was the second largest town in the country. It is the capital of Janjanbureh Localn Government Area

Day 08Wassau Stones Cercles – Albreda (Juffureh)

After breakfast, we’ll drive to the Wassau Stones Cercles, the remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its historic stone circles. The Wassau Stones feature four large groups of ancient stone circles, representing an extraordinary concentration of over 1,000 monuments spread across a 100 km wide area. Upon arrival, you’ll have a relaxing picnic lunch, followed by a guided tour where an expert will share the fascinating history and cultural significance of these famous stone circles. After visit continuation to Albreda, Albreda is a historic settlement in The Gambia on the north bank of the Gambia River, variously described as ‘trading post’ or a ‘slave fort’ It is located near Jufureh in the North Bank Division and an arch stands on the beach connecting the two places.

Day 10Banjul City Tour

After breakfast we’ll drive to Barra the opposite river side to Banjul. Crossing the river by ferry boat to Banjul. Upon arrival we’ll start our city tour and explore the vibrant capital of The Gambia, where most government departments and public offices are based. Your first stop is the iconic Arch 22, one of the country’s most important national monuments. Spanning Independence Drive, this landmark commemorates the July 22nd revolution. Climb to the top floor terrace for breathtaking panoramic views of Banjul, beautifully surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the River Gambia, and the lush Tanbi wetlands.

The journey continues with a visit to the National Museum, where you’ll delve into The Gambia’s rich history and cultural heritage. Next, explore the bustling Albert Market, a lively hub where local men and women sell fresh produce, vibrant textiles, and handmade crafts. You’ll witness everyday Gambian life, including women in colorful traditional attire

Day 11Banjul- Joal Fadiouth – Saly

Depart from The Gambia and cross back into Senegal to visit the historic towns of Joal and Fadiouth. Located along the Petite Côte, Joal is a significant cultural site as the birthplace of Senegal’s first president, Leopold Sédar Senghor. Just across a scenic wooden footbridge lies Fadiouth, a unique island village famously built entirely on a bed of oyster and clam shells, deposited over centuries. Wander through this peaceful and picturesque community, known for its harmony between Christian and Muslim residents and its shell-covered cemetery. After the visit, continue your journey to the charming seaside resort town of Saly, perfect for relaxation and exploring Senegal’s beautiful coastline.
