Arrival in Khartoum, the capital city located at the confluence of the Blue and White Nile. You will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your journey or enjoy a short orientation of the city. Overnight stay in Khartoum.
After breakfast, explore Khartoum’s highlights including the famous Nile confluence, where the Blue Nile meets the White Nile. Visit museums and cultural sites that showcase Sudan’s rich history. Continue to Omdurman to experience traditional markets, historic streets, and local culture before returning to your hotel.
Enjoy a deeper exploration of Khartoum with visits to local artisan workshops, traditional neighborhoods, and riverside viewpoints. Experience Sudanese cuisine and optional sunset boat rides on the Nile. This day offers a more relaxed cultural immersion into daily life in the capital.
Depart for the northern desert toward Meroë, home to the legendary Nubian pyramids. Travel through scenic desert landscapes and arrive in time for sunset views over the dunes. Overnight stay at a desert camp or lodge near Meroë.
