Itinerary
Enjoy a pickup from your port in Praia at 7.30am and start the day with this exciting tour to Fogo Island. Catch your 35-minute flight to the neighboring island and, upon arrival, be transferred to São Filipe where your discovery begins. Stroll through the charming and colorful colonial buildings of the city center and head to the Municipal Museum where you will appreciate the simplicity of the objects that depict the local history. Next, drive inland with photo stops in the rural villages of Patim, Achada Furna and Cabeça Fundão. Arrive at Chã das Caldeiras National Park, get unrivaled panoramic views over the Volcano which last erupted in 2014 and enjoy one of the best viewing spots of the volcano. Go on an exciting driving experience around the crater. Then, take a guided tour of the hardened lava of Chã das Caldeiras, learn about the local geology from your local expert, and taste local wine and cheese with a local family. After your volcanic adventure, take a break for lunch and head back to the airport. Say goodbye to Fogo and take your flight back to Santiago Island, where the tour ends with drop-off at port at Praia 5.00pm
