A highlight of the journey is exploring Old Cairo, home to some of the oldest churches in the world, including sites traditionally associated with the Holy Family’s stay in Egypt.
Your journey begins upon arrival in Cairo, the vibrant capital that blends ancient Christian heritage with modern life. Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is reserved for rest and recovery after your flight. Depending on arrival time, guests may enjoy a gentle walk or optional evening orientation of the city.

Today is dedicated to exploring the spiritual heart of Old Cairo, one of the most significant Christian heritage sites in the world. You will visit the famous Hanging Church, one of the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt, built above the Roman fortress of Babylon. Continue to the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, believed to be built over the cave where the Holy Family rested during their flight into Egypt. The day also includes visits to nearby sacred sites that reflect centuries of Christian continuity in Egypt. The atmosphere is deeply spiritual, offering insight into early Christianity in North Africa.

After breakfast, depart for the desert region of Wadi El Natrun, one of the most important monastic centers in Christian history. The silence and simplicity of the desert create a powerful spiritual experience. Return to Cairo in the evening.
