Itinerary

Day 1Arrival and Beachside Welcome

Arrive in Freetown and transfer to a hotel near Lumley Beach. Enjoy sunset views and a fresh seafood dinner.

Day 2Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Drive to the Tacugama Sanctuary to learn about chimpanzee conservation. Take a guided forest hike and visit local conservation programs.

Day 3Tiwai Island – River Adventure Begins

Depart for the Gola Forest and Tiwai Island. After arrival by boat, settle into your eco-camp and take a night canoe trip to search for hippos and fireflies.

Day 4Jungle Walk & Community Visit

Spend the day tracking wildlife in the rainforest, followed by a cultural visit to a nearby Mende village. Enjoy drumming and storytelling in the evening.

Day 5Drive to Bo – Cultural Immersion

Travel to Bo, Sierra Leone’s second-largest city. Tour its lively markets, meet weavers and blacksmiths, and enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal.

Day 6River #2 Beach Retreat

Drive back toward Freetown with a stop at River #2 Beach, one of Sierra Leone’s most pristine coastal locations. Swim, kayak, or simply relax.

Day 7Departure

Transfer to the airport via ferry with assistance from your guide.
