Embark on a scenic drive south towards the stunning Rift Valley Lake of Langano, stopping to explore Adadi Mariam, a rock-hewn church believed to be the southernmost church founded by King Lalibela. Next, visit the prehistoric archaeological site of Melka Kunture, a fascinating location filled with ancient artifacts, before heading to the stele field of Tiya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its mysterious stone carvings.
Arriving at Lake Langano, take the afternoon to enjoy swimming or indulge in bird watching around the lake’s serene environment.

Today, drive from Langano to Arba Minch, passing through the fertile lands of the Wolayta and Alaba regions. The Alaba people are renowned for their distinctive and beautiful home paintings, which reflect their rich cultural heritage.
Along the way, stop at the Sinkile Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can observe the endemic Swainson’s hartebeest and other wildlife species that call the sanctuary home.
Continue your journey to Arba Minch, and enjoy the stunning views along the way.

After breakfast, drive to Chencha to visit the Dorze village, home to the Dorze people who are renowned for their intricate weaving traditions and the distinctive elephant-shaped huts made from bamboo and false banana tree leaves. Explore their vibrant community and witness their daily activities that reflect their deep cultural roots.
Afterward, drive back to Arba Minch for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat trip on Lake Chamo, one of the spectacular Rift Valley lakes. During the boat ride, visit the famous Crocodile Market, where you’ll have the chance to see a large number of crocodiles, as well as various aquatic birds and hippos.

Today, drive 275 km south to Jinka, passing through the scenic landscapes of southern Ethiopia. Along the way, visit the villages of the Konso people, known for their unique hand-woven cotton clothes and impressive rock terraces, which are a testament to their ancient agricultural practices.
These fascinating terraces, built over generations, are an essential part of the Konso people’s heritage and an iconic feature of the region.

Today, embark on an exciting excursion to Mago National Park, where you’ll have the chance to meet the Mursi people, famous for their unique tradition of wearing clay lip plates. The women of the Mursi tribe insert large circular discs into their lower lips as part of a striking cultural practice.
After visiting the Mursi, drive back to Jinka and stop by the Cultural Museum of the People of the Lower Omo Valley to learn more about the fascinating cultures and traditions of the region.

Today, drive to Turmi, the vibrant village of the Hamer people. The women of the Hamer are renowned for their distinctive hairdressing styles and leather skirts, which are an integral part of their cultural identity.
If today is Saturday or Tuesday, you will have the unique opportunity to visit the colorful weekly market in Dimeka, where the Hamer and Benna people gather to trade goods and showcase their traditional attire.

In the morning, embark on an excursion to Omo Rate to visit the Dasenech people, the southernmost tribe of Ethiopia, known for their unique scarifications and distinctive cultural practices.
After the visit, enjoy a picnic lunch at Murulle before heading to Korcho, the village of the Karo people, renowned for their intricate body paintings and striking decorative designs.
If today is Saturday or Tuesday, you will have the opportunity to visit the colorful weekly market at Dimeka (Hamer market) or Turmi (if it’s Monday), where you can observe vibrant exchanges and traditional trading practices of the Hamer people.

Today, head north toward Awassa, making a visit to the nomadic Borena people, known for their pastoral lifestyle and traditional cattle herding. You will also visit the Sidama people, who are renowned for their cultivation of Enset (False Banana), a staple crop in their community.
Enjoy scenic views along the way as you learn about the unique agricultural practices and cultural heritage of these diverse communities.

Start the day by visiting the vibrant Fish Market at the shore of Lake Awassa, where you can observe the local fishermen’s daily activities. Then, drive back to Addis Ababa, making stops along the way to view the stunning Rift Valley Lakes, including Langano, Abiyatta, Shalla, and Ziway.
Upon arrival in Addis, enjoy a free afternoon to explore or relax. In the evening, you will be treated to a farewell dinner at one of the best traditional restaurants in the city. Enjoy a variety of Ethiopian meals while watching the folkloric dances of Ethiopia’s diverse cultures.
