Pietra & Wadi Rum Highlights from Aqaba 2 Days/ 1Night

We will pick you up from port 08:00 AM and transfer you to Petra via the Desert Highway. Along the way, we will make a short stop before reaching Petra. The distance from Aqaba to Petra is approximately 135 km, so the journey will take about 2 hours. Once we arrive in Petra around 10:30 AM, you will have the opportunity to use the toilets while our guide arranges the tickets and a short horse ride.The visit to Petra will begin with a walk through the main entrance, where horses will be available for those who wish to have a short ride (included in the price). We will then gather near the Siq, a long narrow path between two large Rocky Mountains that stretches for about 1.2 km. Our guide will accompany the group throughout the journey.The first impressive site you will see is AlKhazneh (The Treasury), a magnificent structure carved out of the solid rock on the side of the mountain. It stands at nearly 140 feet tall and 90 feet wide. We will continue to explore hundreds of other carved structures, including the Roman Theater with its 7,000 seats, which was constructed by the Nabateans. We will also visit the Royal Tombs, Court, Cardo Street, and Qasr Al-Bint (The Castle of Pharaoh’s Daughter).On the way back to Aqaba, we will pass by the Wadi Rum Protected Area, a breathtaking desert landscape that is one of Jordan’s main tourist attractions.You will also have a chance to relax and enjoy an unforgettable sunset while sipping tea at a Bedouin tent.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at 8:30 AM before embarking on an adventure to the Bedouin dam. These dams, strategically built in the hollow parts of mountains, provide water for animals and sustenance for the community. The winter and spring seasons ensure an abundant water supply.Our first stop is the remarkable Jabal Anfishiyyeh, where a massive rock wall showcases the finest Thamudic and Nabatean petroglyphs and inscriptions. Marvel at the ancient artistry andhistorical significance.Next, we venture to the awe-inspiring Abu Khashaba canyon. The striking contrast between the red and yellow sun, lush green bushes, and trees creates a captivating landscape that will leave you in awe.Prepare to witness the unique rock formations of Wadi Rum, including the intriguing Cow Rock. These natural wonders will ignite your imagination and provide fantastic photo opportunities.We continue our journey to Jabal Al-Hash, a stunning mountain near the Jordanian-Saudi Arabia border. Its accessibility makes it an ideal choice for inexperienced climbers or those seeking an easy hike. Take in the breathtaking views from its summit.As we approach Jabal Al-Mazmar, also known as The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, named after T.E. Lawrence’s famous book, you’ll notice that there are, in fact, six pillars. This mountain stands opposite the visitor center and offers a majestic sight to behold.Prepare to be amazed by Jabal Al Quattar, one of the largest and most impressive mountains in Wadi Rum, reaching a height of 1606 meters. Its grandeur and beauty will leave a lasting impression.Finally, we arrive at Wadi Village, a mesmerizing valley shaped by water and wind over the centuries. Immerse yourself in the untouched landscapes, from towering sand dunes to Rocky Mountains with unique formations and vibrant canyons displaying a myriad of colors.
