Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will complete the immigration process. Afterward, you will be warmly welcomed by our staff, who will provide a briefing about your safari. You will then be transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre. This is a meaningful place for reflection, offering a deep understanding of the horrors of war. You will learn about the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, during which 1 million Rwandans were killed in just 100 days. After lunch, you will continue your drive to Volcanoes National Park, where you will check into your accommodation. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the exciting trekking adventure the following day.

After an early morning breakfast, you will proceed to a brief orientation at the park headquarters, where you’ll be informed about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Then, you’ll enter the forest in search of the gorillas. The trek will take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements and your group’s pace. Once you meet the gorillas, you will have up to one hour to observe and interact with them. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a cultural encounter, gaining insight into Rwanda’s rich culture.

After a warm early morning cup of coffee, you will be transferred for a golden monkey trek in search of these fascinating primates in the jungle. While similar to the gorilla trekking experience, golden monkey trekking is generally less strenuous. Afterward, you will drive back to your lodge for lunch before transferring to Lake Kivu. Upon arrival, check in at your booked hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

After a warm early morning breakfast, you’ll proceed to Kimbiri for a coffee plantation tour and processing experience. Later, you’ll be transferred to Kibuye for lunch, followed by a scenic boat ride on Lake Kivu. Afterward, you’ll drive to Nyungwe, check in to your booked hotel, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early morning cup of coffee, head out to explore the natural forest of Nyungwe, renowned for its 13 species of primates. Later, return to the park for a briefing before embarking on your chimpanzee trek. You will have up to one hour to search for and observe the chimpanzees. Afterward, enjoy a canopy walk on a 90-meter-high suspended bridge, offering stunning views both inside and outside the forest. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After a relaxed morning breakfast, head out for a tea plantation tour to learn how tea is cultivated and processed, from farming to the factory, and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea. Following this unforgettable experience, drive back to Kigali with an en route lunch. On the way, visit the King’s Palace Museum to learn about Rwanda’s past leadership. Continue your journey and arrive in Kigali in the afternoon.

After an early morning breakfast, check out of your hotel, meet your driver, and transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Depending on your flight time, you’ll have a city tour, visiting Kigali City Centre and local art galleries, with time for souvenir shopping. Enjoy lunch before being transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
