Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Dakar – Welcome to Senegal

Welcome to Senegal! Upon arrival at Blaise Diagne International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Dakar.

After check-in, enjoy a welcome briefing introducing you to your Senegal adventure and the Saint-Louis International Jazz Festival program. The remainder of the day is at leisure before gathering for a traditional Senegalese welcome dinner.

Overnight: Radisson Blu Hotel Dakar, Terrou-Bi Resort, or similar.

Day 2Dakar City Tour and Gorée Island

After breakfast, discover the vibrant capital of Senegal on a guided city tour. Visit Independence Square, the African Renaissance Monument, Kermel Market, and the colorful Soumbédioune Craft Market.

Later, board the ferry to Gorée Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its colonial architecture and its powerful history connected to the Atlantic slave trade. Visit the House of Slaves and stroll through the charming streets before returning to Dakar.

Day 3Dakar – Saint-Louis

Following breakfast, depart north along Senegal’s scenic coastline to the historic city of Saint-Louis, the country’s former colonial capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel before taking a guided walking tour through the city’s charming colonial streets, colorful balconies, and lively fishing district. Day 6 Lompoul Desert Adventure

Depart after breakfast for the spectacular Lompoul Desert, famous for its rolling golden sand dunes that create a miniature Sahara landscape.
