Catamaran Cruise in Walvis Bay Lagoon
Our day starts at 08:30 am. We will start with the Catamaran Cruise at 8h30. On the cruise, you will get the chance to see flying pelicans, seals, oyster farms and if you are lucky, we may see the endemic Benguella dolphins and many other sea wildlife!
The Catamaran then docks by the beach close to Pelican Point on the Peninsula where guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne and then transferred with our 4×4 to the lunch area, where the clients will have a barbeque lunch and drinks and some entertainment. After lunch, we head off to Sandwich harbor. Our access to Sandwich Harbour will depend on the weather and the tides. The best way of experiencing these rich and unique wetlands is on foot or by car. If the weather or tides do not allow us to access the harbor directly, we will view it from a viewing point on top of the dune where one can easily make out the harbor and the wildlife. Your guide will find a suitable place depending on the weather to serve a light lunch with Walvis Bay oysters, soft drinks, and champagne. So, enjoy the view, and voila lunch is served! On our way back, your guide will keep sharing his/her knowledge of the local flora and fauna of the area. The highlight of the return trip is the visit to the Roaring Dune and Sandboard. Our return to Walvis Bay should be around 16h30.
