Guinea-Bissau Cantanhez Safari Getaway – 4-Day

Upon arrival, head directly south by 4×4 to Cantanhez Forest Reserve, home to over 200 bird species and West Africa’s western chimpanzees. Stay at Jemberem, a basic but welcoming eco-camp.

Set off early with a local tracker to search for chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and hornbills. Spend the afternoon at a forest waterfall or observing sacred trees revered by local animists.

After breakfast, visit a Balanta or Fula village for a short cultural immersion. In the afternoon, take a canoe ride through flooded forest channels where kingfishers, crocodiles, and fish eagles are commonly seen.
