Day 1Arrival in Lilongwe – Gateway to Malawi

Upon arrival at Kamuzu International Airport, you are welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing after your journey or exploring Lilongwe at leisure. In the evening, enjoy a welcome briefing about the festival program, travel logistics, and cultural expectations in Malawi.

Overnight: Protea Hotel by Marriott Lilongwe Ryalls or similar

Meal: Dinner 

Day 2Lilongwe – Transfer to Lake Malawi (Mangochi/Nkhotakota Region)

After breakfast, depart for the scenic drive toward Lake Malawi, passing through rural landscapes, local markets, and rolling countryside. Arrive at the festival region and check in at your lakeside accommodation or campsite. The afternoon is free for swimming, sunset viewing, or exploring nearby fishing villages. Evening is reserved for pre-festival gatherings and live acoustic sessions.

Day 3Lake of Stars Festival – Opening Day Experience

After breakfast, proceed to the festival grounds. Enjoy a full day of performances featuring international and African artists across multiple stages. As the sun sets over Lake Malawi, experience magical sunset concerts and nighttime headline performances under the stars.

Day 4Full Festival Immersion – Music, Art & Cultural Exchange

This day is dedicated to immersive festival experiences. Attend workshops, film screenings, creative talks, and community art sessions. Evening brings the main headline acts and vibrant lakeside celebrations.

Day 5Departure – Lake Malawi to Lilongwe

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning by the lake. Optional short boat rides or cultural visits can be arranged. Later, depart for Lilongwe for your onward flight or extension tours to safari destinations such as Liwonde National Park or Nyika Plateau.
