Itinerary

Day 1Lilongwe – Scenic Transfer to Mzuzu

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Lilongwe City. Meet your professional guide before setting off on a scenic drive north along the M1 Highway towards Mzuzu, Malawi’s vibrant northern capital.

Journey through the picturesque countryside, passing the agricultural landscapes of Kasungu and the rolling hills of Jenda, while experiencing authentic rural Malawi and its welcoming communities. Along the way, enjoy beautiful scenery and opportunities for short comfort stops.

Arrive in Mzuzu in the late afternoon or early evening and check in to your accommodation, where you can relax and prepare for the exciting wildlife and nature experiences ahead.

Day 2Mzuzu to Nyika National Park

After breakfast, depart for the spectacular Nyika National Park, Malawi’s largest and most scenic national park. Travel through Rumphi before entering the park via the Thazima Gate. As you ascend onto the Nyika Plateau, enjoy breathtaking landscapes of rolling grasslands, montane forests, and panoramic valleys.

Arrive at Chelinda in the afternoon and embark on your first exciting game drive. Keep your camera ready for sightings of roan antelope, eland, Burchell’s zebra, reedbuck, warthogs, and numerous bird species as wildlife emerges to graze during the cooler evening hours.

Day 3Explore Nyika National Park

Day 6 Lake Malawi Experience and Transfer to Lilongwe
