Upon arrival in Kigali, you will go through custom and immigration process then you will meet our company representative who will warmly welcome you and get transferred to your hotel for overnight and dinner.

After an early breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up and drive to Akagera National Park, a journey of approximately 2.5 hours, depending on any stopovers along the way. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a brief game drive before heading to your accommodation for lunch. Afterward, you’ll embark on a boat trip on Lake Ihema, where you’ll have the chance to observe hippos and crocodiles in the water or along the shores. You may also spot buffaloes and elephants grazing near the water’s edge. Return to your accommodation in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

After a relaxed early breakfast, depart at 6:00 AM for a game drive in Akagera National Park. Our search will focus on spotting iconic big mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, various antelope species, lions, and rhinos. A brief history of the park: Akagera is home to diverse habitats that support an array of wildlife, and with over 500 bird species, it’s truly a birdwatcher’s paradise. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, then return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, meet your safari guide and head to Volcanoes National Park, passing through Kigali. En route, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about the tragic events of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. After the visit, enjoy lunch before continuing your journey to Musanze, where you’ll be treated to stunning views of the rolling hills and picturesque countryside. Upon arrival, check in to your booked accommodation.

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the park headquarters for a brief orientation on the code of conduct while trekking the gorillas. Then, venture into the forest in search of the gorillas, a journey that may take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movement and the pace of the group. After this unforgettable experience, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural tour to gain insight into Rwandan traditions and way of life. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the park headquarters for a brief orientation on the code of conduct, with your packed lunch in hand. Then, begin your golden monkey trekking adventure in search of these fascinating primates in the jungle. While the experience is similar to gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking is generally less strenuous. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch, then transfer to Lake Kivu for the next part of your journey.

After breakfast, hop into your jeep and begin your journey to Nyungwe, enjoying the beautiful en route views of the Congo side and Lake Kivu. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit several islands, starting with a boat ride from Kibuye on Lake Kivu. As you cruise, you’ll be able to spot a variety of bird species, making it a perfect experience for birdwatching enthusiasts. Later, return to your hotel for lunch and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at leisure.

After an early morning coffee, head to the natural forest of Nyungwe, renowned for its 13 species of primates. Upon arrival, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a chimpanzee trekking adventure. This unforgettable one-hour trek will bring you face to face with the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch, then head to the Gisakura tea plantations. Explore the stunning tea fields and learn about the process of growing, harvesting, and producing tea. In the afternoon, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

As usual, after an early morning breakfast, take off to a visit the forest for a waterfall hike, a good chance to take a cool forest breath hike, and visit a number of waterfalls in the park. Along the way, you will have a sight of some primates and bird species. You will later return for lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 90 meters suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and on a luck day spot one or two more primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge and later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

Early in the morning, enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast, check out of the hotel, and head to Kigali. On the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Royal Palace Museum in the Southern Province, where you’ll learn about traditional Rwandan ways of life and the history of kingship in the country, accompanied by an en-route lunch. You should arrive in Kigali by the afternoon. If time permits, you can enjoy some shopping before being dropped off at the airport for your evening flight back home.
