Safari Blue explores the Menai Bay Conservation Area, which is home to two different species of dolphins, the Indo-pacific humpback and the bottlenose. We are lucky enough to see dolphins on 75 percent of our excursions. Menai Bay has been designated as a Conservation Area since 1998 due to its outstanding natural beauty. The bay has a number of pristine sandbanks, naturally carved by the sea, wind, and waves. The sandbanks and uninhabited islands that litter the bay are perfect steppingstones to explore the area.

Highlights
Today you will meet the guide the port at 7:30 is. After a short drive for 30 mins in an Air-conditioned van with a capacity of 15 pax to Fumba in South West Zanzibar, we will take you with a traditional Dhow Sailing Boat to see the sandbanks, islands and coral reefs of Menai Bay, a beautiful conservation area. The bay is a home on bottle nosed Humpback Dolphins. Once we spot them, you’ll be able to swim with them
We set down on one of the beautiful sandbanks where one can relax, swim, or snorkel. There is plenty of good quality snorkeling equipment and the experienced snorkeling guides will show and introduce you to the pristine coral reef. Fresh coconuts and fruits are available throughout the day
After snorkeling, we go to Kwale island where we have our “desert island” restaurant with a fresh Seafood BBQ (fish, slipper lobster, calamari, rice, sauces, ice-cold sodas, and beer).
After the leisure lunch, we explore the Island on a short walking tour, where we can find the biggest fallen Baobab tree of the Island, which was fallen hundred years ago, but still standing and growing
When the tide permits are good, we explore the natural lagoon. The lagoon is surrounded by a mangrove forest and we will take you swimming in the lagoon for an unforgettable experience. As Safari Blue comes to an end and we return to Fumba by traditional sail and drive back to the port where we will drop you at 4:15 pm
