Zambia 10-Day Safari Tour – Victoria Falls, South Luangwa & Lower Zambezi

Arrive at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka and connect with a scheduled domestic flight to Mfuwe, the gateway to South Luangwa National Park. On arrival, meet your safari guide and transfer to your lodge. After settling in, enjoy your first taste of the Luangwa wilderness with an afternoon or evening game drive, followed by dinner at the lodge.

Spend the day exploring South Luangwa National Park, one of Zambia’s renowned wildlife destinations. Morning and afternoon game drives take you through riverine woodland and open plains in search of elephants, buffalo, hippos, giraffes, antelope and predators. The evening provides an opportunity for an atmospheric night drive, subject to lodge and park arrangements.

Start the morning with a guided walking safari, an immersive way to experience the smaller details of the African bush. After lunch and time to relax, head out again for an afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Depending on the final logistics and seasonal flight schedules, this connection can be arranged by domestic flight and road transfer. Arrive at your riverside lodge, check in and enjoy the peaceful setting overlooking the Zambezi River.

Begin your Lower Zambezi experience with a morning game drive through the park. The area is particularly suited to combining traditional game viewing with river-based activities. In the afternoon, take a boat safari along the Zambezi, watching for elephants, hippos, crocodiles and abundant birdlife along the riverbanks.

Enjoy another full day in the Lower Zambezi. Take part in a guided canoe safari or morning game drive before returning to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later, continue with an afternoon wildlife activity or river cruise, followed by a sunset experience overlooking the Zambezi.

After breakfast, leave the Lower Zambezi and continue toward Livingstone, the gateway to Victoria Falls. Depending on the selected transport arrangements, the journey can combine road and domestic flights. On arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxed afternoon beside the Zambezi River.

After breakfast, explore Victoria Falls with a guided visit to the viewpoints on the Zambian side. Discover the rainforest paths, dramatic gorge and powerful curtain of water known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “The Smoke That Thunders.” Later, enjoy time at leisure before an optional sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Victoria Falls and the surrounding Zambezi area form a major attraction of the Livingstone region.

Enjoy a relaxed final day in Livingstone. You can spend the morning at leisure or choose optional experiences such as a scenic helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, a cultural visit, adventure activities or additional wildlife viewing. In the evening, enjoy a final dinner at your lodge overlooking the Zambezi.

Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone for your onward journey. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for a final walk or relaxation at the lodge before departure.
