Day 1Upon arrival in the enchanting city of Antananarivo

Upon arrival in the enchanting city of Antananarivo, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Across Africa Tours &Travel Agency at Ivato Airport. They will escort you to our luxurious hotel, where you will have the opportunity to partake in an orientation session and indulge in a sumptuous welcome dinner. You will then retire for the night in the plush comfort of the IC Hotel (or a similar establishment ofequal grandeur).

Day 2Journey to Andasibe National Park

Embark on an exhilarating morning journey to Andasibe National Park, traversing the awe-inspiring La Mandraka cliff and taking in the breathtaking panoramic view of the Anjiro plain. Andasibe is home to the majestic Indri Indri, the tallest living lemur, and many other lemurs such as the Fulvus, Bamboo, and Rubriventer. The dense primary forest is teeming with a wide variety of endemic birds, orchids, fern trees, pandanus, and many palms. In the evening, take a captivating walk through the park to discover.nocturnal lemurs, chameleons, and birds such as nightjars and owls. Enjoy a comfortable stay at the luxurious Hotel Feon’ny Ala.

Day 3Morning stroll through the picturesque landscape of Andasibe National Park.

Embark on a breathtaking early morning stroll through the picturesque landscape of Andasibe National Park, where you will have the opportunity to witness an array of exotic wildlife in their natural habitat. After a fulfilling lunch, we will embark on an overland journey back to the vibrant capital city of Antananarivo, where you will havethe pleasure of staying overnight at the luxurious IC Hotel or a similar establishment.

Day 4Arrival in Toliara.

We set off at an early hour towards Ivato Airport to catch our flight from Antananarivo to Toliara. Upon arrival in Toliara, will be greeted by our trusty 4×4 vehicles and embark on an exciting overland journey towards the majestic Mangoky River. Venture northeast towards the picturesque town of Sakara, departing from the paved roads and traversing a sandy track as we cross the serene Fiherenena River. Our final destination for the day will be a comfortable 4×4 camp where we would rest for the night.

Day 5Visit picturesque plateau,the idyllic village of Beroroha.

After indulging in a sumptuous breakfast, we embark on our journey northward, where the road winds its way through a picturesque plateau adorned with majestic Mahafaly tombs. After an exhilarating day of overland travel, we pause for a moment in the idyllic village of Beroroha to procure any last-minute necessities and savor a refreshing beverage before setting up camp in the vicinity of the put-in point for the majestic Mangoky River.

Day 6-11Journey along the majestic Mangoky River.

Embark on a serene and breathtaking journey along the majestic Mangoky River as we meander through verdant ranges of wooded hills en route to the picturesque Mozambique Channel. Discover the remote and untamed beauty of Madagascar as we traverse through the largest baobab forest in the world. Paddle at a leisurely pace as we traverse the tranquil waters, aided by a gentle current, on a journey spanning approximately 160 kilometers. The moderate paddling exercise will enhance your fitness and stimulate your appetite for delicious meals cooked over an open fire. Utilize the aid of a small outboard motor during low water periods or to quicken our downstream progress. Camp at sprawling sandy campsites, witness the grandeur of the surrounding mountains, and soothe your soul with a hot spring at the journey’s end. Explore the diverse wildlife on our frequent side hikes, including exotic birds and lemurs. Experience the ultimate wilderness camping adventure.

Day 12.The idyllic Paradise Camp.

As the sun sets on the final day of our river journey, we make our way to the idyllic Paradise Camp. As the day comes to a close, we embark on a picturesque stroll through a nearby village, taking in the sights and sounds of a lush baobab forest and verdant rice fields. This evening marks our last night under the stars, camping along the river’s tranquil waters.

Day 13Embarking on a lengthy southern expedition to the idyllic coastal hamlet of Ifaty

Bevoay / Ifaty. At the crack of dawn, we embark on a fleeting excursion along the river,convening with our 4-wheel drive vehicles in the vicinity of the picturesque village of Bevoay. Subsequently, we meticulously pack our rafts and gear before embarking on lengthy southern expedition to the idyllic coastal hamlet of Ifaty. Upon arrival, we check into our luxurious accommodations for refreshing shower before indulging in a delectable seafood dinner as we soak in the breathtaking sunset over the Mozambiqu Channel. We spend the night in a luxurious eco-hotel or a similar establishment.

Day 14.A comprehensive sojourn in the idyllic hamlet of Ifaty

In the early hours of the day, we embark on a journey southward to the quaint town of Toilara for our aerial excursion to the charming coastal village of Morondava. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the luxurious Chez Maggie Hotel for a sumptuous breakfast and an opportunity to unwind on the picturesque beach. As the afternoon unfolds, we will set out on a northerly trek to the Kirindy Forest Reserve, where we will engage in a series of exhilarating afternoon and nocturnal excursions through the verdant wilderness. We will retire for the evening in rustic yet comfortable bungalows (or opt for a camping experience) nestled within the heart of the forest.
