The Sahara desert is a vast region of the planet, with a total. On this journey you will explore Ennedi Lake Ounianga, to enjoy its typical landscapes, its history, and the way of life of the local population. Along the margins of Ennedi massif, the rocks are strongly eroded by atmospheric and chemical agents, taking extreme and odd shapes. In an incredible and surreal landscape, we will observe these sandstone rock formations closely.

Upon arrival at the N’djamena you’ll meet our guide and driver to welcome and later transferred you to Raddisson Blu for dinner and overnight.
Today after your breakfast you’ll meet the guide at the hotel lobby to proceed to registration of passports at the immigration office, Later you’ll visit Gaoui village, the sultan’s house, and the city’s main highlights from National Museum to the Great Mosque and market. You’ll meet your guide at the hotel lobby after your breakfast. Today you will leave the city behind and head to the wild. You’ll catch a short flight to Fada the capital of Ennedi. Upon arrival, you will meet with our team and transferred to Camp Derde for overnight.

For the next 5 days, you will spend exploring Ennedi. You will have a chance to discover Guelta d’Archei, the only permanent waterhole in the region situated amidst a dramatic and towering gorge, where one can often see hundreds of camels drinking, their bellowing echoing around the rock walls. The guelta is also home to one of the last populations of Saharan crocodiles, and with a bit of luck, we should be able to see them. You will also see the Ennedi Mountains In the northeast of Chad refuge that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016 for its unique natural formations and globally significant rock art. Dating back 7,000 years, this rock art is a testament to the historic role people have played in this landscape. Every day you will depart from the camp for excursions to famous sites in this incredible Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve marked by cliffs, natural arches, mushroom rocks, giant labyrinths, and water catchments.
